LET'S GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME

Election Results
Californians Should Be Thinking About

I do believe that because of the pre-election shenanigans that went on in California leading up to the 2000 Presidential Election and California's 2002 election -- shenanigans including vicious character assassination, misleading propaganda by both the liberal media and powerful union interests, the obscene amount of money raised and used by Gray Davis, and the after election redistricting that resulted in even more liberal congressional districts being created; California fell dangerously out of favor with the Federal Government.

During our energy crisis, Gray Davis' efforts to get help from Washington failed miserably. During the crippling Dock strikes that paralyzed the west coast, the Federal government only intervened after they had no other choice.

Now, in spite of the Presidents popularity rating being higher than any other president in history and the polls indicating the public's majority approval of our war against terrorism, the liberal left in California are doing everything possible to undermine that confidence.

When voting, it might be a good idea to analyze the probable results of Presidential or Congressional elections and get on board with the winning team. We send our elected representatives to Washington to get results favorable to our state's best interests, but we make their jobs impossible if our voting and campaign practices make us the enemy.

We are now in a position to rectify our mistakes. On october 7, lets clean house and at the same time, we can rectify another unacceptable situation, a practice called labeling. On the October 7, ballot is Ward Connely's Prop. 54. An heroic effort to rid ourselves of all those deversifying labels that government uses to devide us and profit politically in doing so.

Opponents are quite well organized and getting good TV media support. Ward is going to have a battle on his hands. Don't listen to the attacks on the Initiative. Read the complete text and decide for yourself.

Proposition 54

Classification By Race, Ethnicity, Color or National Origin. Initiative Constitutional Amendment.
Proponent: Kevin Nguyen (916) 444-2278

Effective January 1, 2005, prohibits state, local governments from using race, ethnicity, color or national origin to classify current or prospective students, contractors, or employees in public education, contracting or employment operations. Does not prohibit classification by sex.

Prohibition also covers persons subject to other operations of government unless Legislature finds compelling state interest, authorizes by two-thirds of each house, and Governor approves.

"Classifying" defined as separating, sorting, or organizing persons or personal data. Exemptions include: law enforcement descriptions; prisoner and undercover assignments; action taken to maintain federal funding.

Summary of estimate by Legislative Analyst and Director of Finance of fiscal impact on state and local governments: This measure would have a major fiscal impact of annual state savings potentially ranging from several million dollars in excess of $10 million beginning in 2015.
